The classics
These are the methods of coffee making that everyone knows, the most popular ones, and you probably have one or more of them at home.
Espresso machine
The most classic of the classics, espresso is a strong coffee that awakens all the senses and gives you all the power of coffee. You will need to grind your beans very finely for this method. It’s also one of the more expensive methods, as espresso machines can cost a tidy sum, but it’s worth it for deep coffee lovers!
- Cooking time : Quick, less than a minute
- Taste of the cup : Strong and full-bodied coffee
- Extra: Add hot water for a classic Americano.

Mocha pot
The mocha pot is a kitchen icon, present in most homes since it began to gain popularity after World War II. Like the espresso, it is an Italian invention and another proof of the love of this country for coffee.
- Cutting time: Fast, about 5 minutes
- Taste of the cup: Strong, close to that of espresso, it should be less full-bodied but more pronounced.
- Extra: Your grind should of course be non-fine, it may take a while to get it right so don’t worry!
- Coffee we recommend: Espresso blends, dark roast, but also milder ones like ours, can be a great choice. Nougat with nuts can be an excellent choice
French press
The French press is an excellent choice for making coffee to share, as you can find them in sizes that can make more than 6 cups at a time. For this method, you will need a coarser coffee grind, much like that of loose leaf tea.
- Cup Time: It takes about 10 minutes, depending on how much coffee you like to brew.
- Taste of the cup: A smoother, rounder cup of coffee, you should be able to taste the notes in your cup.
- Extra: Be careful with the last few sips of your cup, there may be a little sediment from the brew.

Coffee has been around for a long time, but now there are some new methods for deep L lovers. Maybe one of them will be your new favorite.
Aeropress
A more sophisticated cousin of the French press, it is elegant, more portable and ideal for travelers. Using a press method and with the effect of air in the brew, this results in a clean and super tasty cup of coffee.
- Cutting time: Super fast, one minute
- Taste of the cup: More watery, but the coffee still has body.
- Extra: It doesn’t matter what grind you use, really, you can get different results with any grind but especially with aeropress.

Chemex Infusion
This method has gained a lot of fans, as it not only makes for great coffee, but also looks really cool. The elegant Chemex is a simple method of brewing and filtering. This creates an excellent cup and can be used to brew for more than one drinker at a time.
- Cooking time: Fairly quick, about 3-5 minutes
- Taste of the cup: Rich and full taste, little or no sediment.
- Extra: Water should be just below boiling point
- Coffee we recommend: Tasty blends full of flavor, we would choose a Colombian coffee Supremo La Ceiba
V60
At first glance, the V60 looks so simple, another filter and drip coffee maker. However, if you take a closer look, you’ll see that its ingenious design makes for an interesting brew that has conquered the coffee world. Familiar but innovative.
- Cup duration: 5 minutes or more
- Taste of the cup: Tasty coffee, less bitter, clean and fresh.
- Extra: You can work with a fine to medium grind.
